We were now on the Pacific Crest Trail. We would only hike a few miles of this 2,600-mile-long trail.
The full length of the trail stretches from Mexico to Canada. Two of our group would turn off here to take a little side trip to a lake.
They'd rejoin us a couple miles down the trail.
